Death of the Heart

The words in my veins,
The phrases in my breath,
The prose in my eyes,
They spoke of love for life.

I sought to understand myself,
And the voices rose; menacing,
They were instructions in many directions,
Not one, I found embracing.

And I, confounded and befuddled,
Grasped at things I deemed concrete,
A fallacy that has me struggling,
And now, I'm dead on my feet.

No hope, no love, no vigour,
Barred from any splendour,
I haven't the slighterst interest,
In this route I have chosen.

To have regrets at such young an age,
The wounds are scabbing,
The scars will never heal,
I shall not, I believe, live a life of zeal.

Because I'm still the asinine fool,
Who silenced her heart,
Make no mistake, I am paying,
With the death of my heart.

Thanks Adi, for barging in and singing Spongebob's 'Best Day Ever'. You made my day. I'm still hurting though. Goodnight everyone.

I see life through rose coloured glass

Roses in a tune

Sometimes...don't you wish that the world would stop spinning, and time would pause, and rain will fall for eternity?

Don't you wish you could just sit in a train and not care when and where to get off? To press your forehead against the cool glass and watch you breath fog over it?

Don't you wish that you could sigh a sigh that lasts forever and close your eyes for a minute that feels like a year? To open your eyes so very slowly and let the sun dance on your eyelashes?

Don't you wish you could will yourself to smile? and to look into your own eyes in the reflection of the glass and finally...find youself? To really be at peace with what you have, what you had, what you wish you have and everything else would just...cease to matter?

I do.
