Long Live The King

The 15th Crown

Undisputable, Roger Federer is the embodiment of TRIUMPH itself. With his 15th crown (Wimbledon 2009), Roger surpassed Pete Sampras' 14 grand slam record and reclaimed his rightful throne as the No. 1 Tennis Player in the world.

The epic battle for his 15th crown took place on the 5th JULY 2009. Roger took down Andy Roddick in a five setter that lasted 4 hours and 17 minutes. With 77 games played, it is the longest match every played in Grand Slam history. The fifth match alone lasted 95 minutes and is also the longest fifth set ever played.

SCORE: 5 - 7 , 7 - 6(6) , 7 - 6 (5), 3 - 6 , 16 - 14

The king of Tennis kings, Roger Federer, as hailed by Pete Sampras himself, is undoubtedly the greatest player of all time. It is expected of Roger to continue his illustrious career and soar to greater heights. His finesse blurs the line between athleticism and elegance. Roger's brilliance is unparalled, and will forever be like so.

It was with utmost pleasure and pride that I witnessed Roger's golden victory (on TV). There was not a shred of doubt in me that Roger will prevail against Roddick and break through the ranks of chasing records into that of setting NEW records himself. Never again shall there be one who can play Roger's brand of tennis. Of that, I am certain.

Walk with me, dear reader, let us relive the 15 slams of Roger Federer. Etched in my mind, heart & soul, the triupmhs of the great Roger Federer:

Journey To The 15th Crown

P.S: Roger's wife, Miroslava (Mirka) gave birth to twin girls (Myla Rose & Charlene Riva) on 23rd JULY 2009 :)

a wise footballer once said...

"Form is temporary but class is permanent."

the main reason to why I am a RF fan is because he plays tennis with class...
he may not be the strongest physically...
his forehands may not be the best...
but his vision...
his ability to see and execute shots that are out of this world...
from ridiculously insane angles...
dropshots that are soooo bloody exquisite, delicate, and sensitive...
it was as if I experienced multiple orgasms every time he managed to pull them off...
ahhhh....

seeing RF play tennis is like seeing Arsenal play football...
and i'm a huge Arsenal fan...
Arsenal play football with class as it's God...

RF is the essence of tennis being played at it's utter most high in terms of class, quality, and execution...
and for that...
I agree with you...

Long Live The King...

and I'm not kissing your ass or anything...
he's truly one of the greats in the modern game...

Yes long live the king :) didn't know u like Roger too. Indeed Roger has class few shall ever posess. That footballer is her wise indeed.

But...

Um, dude, I think u meant his back hand may not be perfect. Nadal's play is tailored to attack Roger's backhand. I think u were referring to this no? Cuz Roger's forehand is his signature move. I can write a whole essay on his forehand =__= like seriously. Roger's forehand's been quoted as one of the best shots in Tennis. Period.

N what do u mean 'strongest'? If u meant fit then heck, Roger is amongst the best if not THE most fit in tennis. Along with Nadal, they're the ones who can last matches up to 5 hours.

I'm sorry if I offend u but when it comes to Roger...nothing less than Perfect is acceptable.

to me...
his forehand is not his main weapon...

"Roger's forehand's been quoted as one of the best shots in Tennis."

his ability to slice the ball to set up his opponent...
and then went for that killer forehand...
I think you meant by this right?
yeah...
if you meant it by that...
it's his signature move alright...

if you wanna compare to killer forehands...
Djorkovic...
Roddick...
and even Nadal...
has stronger forehand shots than him...
my point...
RF is not a hard hitting player...

well...
now I know that his backhand is his weak point...

haha...
strongest physically as in ability to hit that ball so hard that it's almost like a travelling bullet...
if fittest...
hell yeah women...
he is one of the fittest ever produced by the modern game...
that 5 hour battle at Wimbledon with Nadal...

LEGENDARY!!!

nothing taken...
I'd done my homework before writing claims such as these...
so that I wouldn't look like an ass in front of you...
haha...

Ohhh I see. Yeah, Federer plays precision tennis. Technique and placing over brute force :) precisely why I wrote that be blurs the line between athleticism and elegance as quoted from Vijay Amitraj :D

He plays tennis with the fluidity of an artisan. Which is also why Roger can conserve energy and last longer. He is beyond brute force. I'm dissing nobody, to become top players brute force alone is futile. All top players have technique. But there is only one Roger Federer.

Federer forever will outclass Roddick. Djokovic on the other hand...I adore him but he's been in the dumps fir a while now. He really shouldn't gave switched racquets. Sigh. As for Nadal. When one discusess Roger's back hand, naturally he surfaces. Well Rogers Cup is coming soon. Once more, hopefully the titans will clash.
